- A bellboy (orbellman) is a hotel porter who helps guests with their luggage and gives directions. He also carries messages, runs errands, and Makes special arrangements for VIP guests. Bellboys typically wear a uniform which includes a jacket with brass buttons, black pants, white gloves, and a hat. When a guest arrives at a hotel, the bellboy greets them and helps with their luggage. He then shows them to their room and gives them a tour of the facilities. If the guest has any special requests, the bellboy takes care of these as well.
