Description: clinical pathologist may be in charge of the blood bank in a hospital. This includes collecting and processing blood and blood products. Other duties may include looking at the causes of transfusion reactions and checking tissue compatibility for transplants.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in biology, physical sciences, or a related field.
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
4 to 7 years’ internship and residency training, specializing in pathology.
Valid and active medical license in the state you wish to practice.
Experience using lab testing equipment, such as microscopes and flow cytometers.
Working knowledge of medical data management software, including MEDITECH Anatomical Pathology, PATHLOGIX, and ASPYRA CyberLAB.
Exceptional analytical and research skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
