- Description
- We are looking for a Laboratory Analyst to work in our Quality Control department. The Laboratory Analyst will be responsible for conducting chemical and physical analyses of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products. This position requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field, and at least two years of experience working in a laboratory.
Duties & Responsibilities
Perform analysis of in-process and final products according to cGMP, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines
Assist in the development and validation of new analytical methods
Write standard operating procedures for analytical methods
Train other analysts on new analytical methods
Maintain laboratory equipment and instruments
Perform preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment and instruments
Calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments
Order laboratory supplies
Keep laboratory clean and organized
Dispose of hazardous waste according to regulations
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all analyses
Report any deviations from established methods or results outside of normal limits
- Requirements
- The primary qualifications for getting a job as a laboratory analyst are a bachelors degree in a relevant field and some experience working in a lab environment. Many laboratories prefer applicants who have a masters degree or even a doctorate, so research the types of labs you want to work in to determine how far you should take your education. Laboratories often use a variety of tools and techniques, so actively searching out additional training and certifications can help you stand out from competitors.
