- Description
- Electrical technicians play a key role in the production, installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment. They may work on communication, lighting, and control systems in factories, homes, buildings, and job sites. They often collaborate closely with electrical engineers and electricians.
- Requirements
- • Execute planned maintenance tasks in accordance with schedules
• Attend all breakdowns and ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation of the systems in place
• Carry out on-site coordination with other FM staffs during emergency breakdown, corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance activities and follows the defined escalation pattern and process flow.
• Responsible for managing resources appropriately to ensure that maintenance tasks are carried out with planned frequencies and standards
• Expert in repairing /replacement of all electrical equipment (DB, SMDB,LV Room, power &lighting system, all types of pumps wiring and control and access control, electrical garage door, intercom devices, gate barrier, emergency lighting systems etc.,)
• Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers or other components.
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
• Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment such as motors.
• Operates a variety of electrical testing equipment in locating and determining types of electrical malfunctions.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment and repair and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Plan lay-out and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
• Provides preventative maintenance, start up and troubleshooting for a variety of electrical systems.
• Studies plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of repairs and/or installations.
• Prepares material estimates for clients to be verified by the Facilities Supervisor
• Performs identification, safe handling of all electrical equipment and appropriate disposal of hazardous materials related to the job.
