The Maintenance Technician - Elevators & Escalators is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of elevators and escalators in various buildings. This role involves conducting routine inspections, performing maintenance and repairs, and responding to service calls to resolve issues promptly. The technician must have a strong knowledge of elevator and escalator systems, electrical components, and safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on elevators and escalators.
• Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components, such as motors, control panels, and safety devices.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with elevator and escalator systems.
• Respond to service calls and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and contractors as needed.
• Provide technical support and guidance to building owners and managers.
• Stay current with advancements in elevator and escalator technology.
• Assist in the preparation of maintenance schedules and budgets.

Requirements: Proven experience as maintenance technician
Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired
